Nick Magone, CPA, CGMA, CFP®

Managing Partner

Nick Magone As a Certified Public Accountant with deep expertise in food manufacturing and distribution, international cross-border taxation and business growth advisory, Nick Magone lends a global view to every engagement based on his 30+ years of audit and business advisory experience.

A former "Big Four" professional, he founded and grew a local NJ CPA firm to 20+ employees and served as a partner in a top 25 NY-based regional firm prior to launching Magone & Company.

Magone enjoys working with growth-oriented food and beverage organizations that are passionate about what they do — and value the perspective of an equally passionate financial expert who can help accelerate their growth. Over the course of his career, Magone has testified in U.S. Bankruptcy Court and served as an expert witness for damage claims and fraud. He is a frequent presenter to professional organizations in the U.S. and abroad, and a speaker for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Magone is an active member of the AICPA, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Planning Association. A Seton Hall University alumnus, Magone is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and New York and a Certified Financial Planner®.


Karl C. Callejas, CPA, CGMA

Partner, Assurance Services

Karl Callejas With close to 30 years of audit experience, Karl Callejas began his career as an auditor for a Big Four firm and then rose to various leadership positions within the Big Four and top ten firms prior to joining Magone & Company.

Callejas now leads the accounting and auditing function for Magone & Co., overseeing audit planning, strategy and quality of service delivery. Additionally, clients often enlist his help to solve their complex accounting, audit, and tax issues or to assist with consulting projects, including M&A due diligence reviews, business process analysis and operational reviews.

His experience encompasses food and beverage manufacturing, wholesale, non-profit, regulated public utilities, benefit plans and construction, among others.

Callejas is an active member of the AICPA and NJSCPA. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and also holds the designation of CGMA from the AICPA and the CIMA.


Dominick Gonnella

Director, Manufacturing Advisory

Dominick Gonnella Dominick Gonnella specializes in assisting food manufacturers in all aspects of their business.

His 30-year career spans every aspect of the industry, from purchasing and quality assurance to sales, marketing, operations management, credit negotiations, and turnaround management for underperforming businesses.

As VP of operations for a high-end international cheese manufacturer, Gonnella reduced COGS by $5M (7.5%) by reformulating the company's product lines and renegotiating supplier contracts. Other notable successes include increasing a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer’s customer base by 500% and overall sales volume by 45% in two years.

Most recently, as CEO, he guided a large private food manufacturer through an organizational transformation, bringing it from financial hardship to record profitability in seven years with a 300% increase in sales.

Gonnella holds an accounting degree from Kean University and volunteers his time with a variety of community organizations.
